Well, Spikey's and Spikettes, It's that time of the year, yes, April 29th, 2005, such a glorious and yet ironic day. It is My birthday!!! However, I share this with our National Arbor Day this year!
Arbor Day - April 29th (In Most States)
Arbor means tree, which makes Arbor Day a fitting name for a holiday about trees. Arbor Day is on the last Friday in April in most US states, but some places celebrate this holiday at different times of the year. Over a hundred years ago, one guy, J. Sterling Morton, changed the Nebraska prairie into the tree-covered state it is today. He used his position as the editor of Nebraska's first newspaper to encourage others to keep planting trees. On the first Arbor Day, the people of Nebraska planted over one million trees.
So, On my birthday, I ask you to cut down one tree for me! Screw Arbor day, green peace and all of those other hippy factions and GO LUMBER PAT!!!
