where are you planning a trip to?

BTW F@tal, your not the SUV master until you get a '96 Blazer airborne. Thats right, when I was in high school i jumped the blazer.

I love my Subie, not many people realize that an all wheel rive car makes a much better drift car then a 2 wheel drive. I know it seems like it wouldn't but since you have all 4 wheels turning one end does not try to swing around, you can stay at a constant drift angle. When you get ready to take it out of the drift u barely move the steering wheel to take it out of the drift.

well when i played nfsu (LOL) i found it harder to drift with the sabaru impreza then with the mazda mx5 (i guess it was the mx5:roll:) but that car runs on the front wheels...

well FWD cars are hard to drift.. if you even can drift with them.. i thought it was only RWD cars.. so you can break the back end loose

Cool mayor! Happy driving.

OK let e explain my theory in a more scientific approach. It is harder to start a drift in an AWD vehicle, you have to hit the turn a lot harder. But because you have all the wheels spinning at the same speed one end of the car does not try to sling ahead of the other once the drift has started which allows you to maintain a consistent line. In a front wheel drive car the rear of the car is constantly trying to accelerate ahead of the front where as if you maintained the same steering wheel and accelerator position at all times eventually you would spin out because your drift angle is constantly increasing. Where as in a perfect 50/50 front to rear power displacement AWD car your angle would remain relatively the same assuming the weight distribution of the car is not more in the rear of the car, which is usually not the case.
