We really need to freshen things up on the server.. Its just plain ol boring..
Could really use a More FUN campaign.. Something with a non standard map on..
Its silly repeating 2 maps in one campaign.. Especially seawall battery.. Sheesh. that one sucks with all level 4 skills..

Perhaps you think I'm just ranting.. But a new / non standard map will bring the curious players.. Mostly the older players..
Ones that remember maps like Venice when they were first introduced.. Desert Temple... Caen.... Of those 3 .. My pref swings towards Venice.. Desert Temple just took tooo long.. and Caen was SK heaven...

I'm sooo bored with our server already.. And I know I have to put up with it.. Just one refreshing map pls.. Is all I ask..

I'm sure that if you put it to the vote.. Most of the people that have played this game for any duration.. AKA 3+ yrs.. Would be happy..

Sorry to rant.. But I'm finding it increasingly difficult to remain enthusiastic..

I dont play that much ET, maybe once a week, but i agree with snakey...

2x Seawall sucks.... which is why i always try and blow with the gun within 5 mins (angel knows what i'm on about)

Venice rocks

Reduce Campaigns to 6 and 8 maps

Railgun
Radar
Oasis
goldy
The other one

as above with venice and temple or caen

personally venice is my favourite map but there are so many nice maps out there it is a shame not to use them...

would also get rid of some of the nuubs that play if they have to use their brains

ok i read the post and i am doing the map orders for the server.i have done a 6 and 8 map campaign with venice in each
for the 6 : Oasis, Battery, Venice, Fueldump, Radar, Goldrush.
for the 8 : Oasis, Goldrush, Venice, Fueldump, Radar, Battery, Oasis, Goldrush

I will wait till you all read and get a final idea as to running order once uploaded we have to restart ta server.. and hope i dont break it

will give it untill friday or untill your high up ,say coffee comes back to me wit final order and if we are leaving the 8 and 10 on aswell or not..
i like the 10 mapper one and it is no bother to add venice to a 10 mapper also ..

6 and 8 maps also allow for you to come on to a server with ppl already on 2000 xp and spend ur time getting ur asses kicked

OK hello well,, med limits and other class limits are done as of this am. Give it a few days and c what we think. as for the maps cant upload them atm cause the download is rubish oF server. supposed to be 42 kbps yet we only getting 13.. we need to sort redirect download out.. someone help HEEEEEELP....
also as i side note we have moved ahead of fp in server charts last look we were at 43 outa bout 5000

keep up the good work.
also adding more cvar restrictions the one i like the best is : pb_sv_merch@nt NOGUN + BLUNT KNIFE.. should help us mortals with a life to get a look in

I am installing a new godmode for all (SPK) members, all you have to do is type in /iammerch@nt with that code you never die also you can shoot lightening from your eyes and fireballs out ur @$$. at anyrate thanx for all your work gobbo, i have talked to bobo he thinks we have enough bandwidth here on the website to use ftp download for the server.

Add these lines to the server config.

set sv_wwwDlDisconnected "0"
set sv_wwwFallbackURL "http://spikage.com/wolf/etmain/"

then tell me exactly what maps you put on the server and when i will upload them on our side. make sure you tell me b4 you upload them to the server tho.

Ok BoBo i have added the files ..we want to have venice as the new map... maybee try and get ready for doing it on friday. i wont upload the files untill then ..
the campaign pk3 amd rotation is small enough to do of the server. does the map pk3 have to go on the server also ? cheers.

All .pk3 s that are on game server need to be on web redirect server. i already have bani on there and our watermark will upload venice in a few minutes. if you are going to add any new stuff just tell me first and send me the file if it is a new campain or water mark. or send it so mikie poo (Mikeangelo) if i am not on he will know what to do.

OK cool we got it going..

the files i sent you bobo are good to go ,i hope they are the ones you upped to your server . the redircet is on and working great i was getting 110kbps for download

nice server beats 13 kbps off the game server

just need to make sure you included the original -=[MC]=- 8 and 10 campaigns
aswell. the auto campaign cycle works fine also .. no need for that your end though.Nice effort all involved we only broke the server twice

and as has already been stated on our forums , if any of u get the game shutting down u MUST allow http/ftp redirect , some peoples configs turn it off
set cl_wwwDownload "1"
set cl_allowDownload "1"
are the correct command i belive , make sure they are set to 1 in ur configs
